Updates...

After perusing The Knot's infamous "to do" list, I triumphantly checked off some big ticket items!

1) Venue, which includes ceremony and reception sites, catering, linens, etc. (other stuff you'd normally have to rent);

2) Photographer! This was the #1 thing I wanted to be sure to get done once we had the date. The instant I finished my last final (and a beer, who are we kidding), I emailed my #1 choice, we emailed back and forth, I met him, and a few days later I had a contract signed and a deposit check written. the same photographer as Newport Nuptials is using. Gotta love Weddingbee for its ability to hook brides up with each other to share tips, tricks, and vendors! Thanks, NN!

3) THE DRESS...! "They" always say that you shouldn't buy a dress your first time shopping... after all, do you get engaged to someone on the first date? I think not. Well, when you've been engaged for over two years, you *sort of* have an idea of what you'd like to wear on your wedding day. Mom and I hit the two stores I wanted to hit first, and BAM there she was. It's a beautiful dress, and I cannot wait to wear it. Alas, she will remain a secret to all until I walk down the aisle... sorry!
